Austria, February 5th, 2024 – Leading aircraft management business AXIS Aviation is today announcing the launch of its new in-house dispatch service.
AXIS Aviation has hired additional team members to support the running of the new dispatch service, ensuring it has total operational control to deliver even greater levels of round-the-clock customer service and cost effectiveness.
Milan Simic, head of dispatch, AXIS Aviation, says: “AXIS Aviation is on an exciting growth trajectory and our in-house flight dispatchers will play a crucial role in supporting this. Having previously worked with trusted third-party operators, we made the decision to build our own team of experts to enable smoother communication across departments and reduce response time for aircraft owners and operators, charter customers, pilots, crew and ground staff. Assembling our in-house team also allows us to develop and implement our own internal procedures, meeting all regulations and offering the highest level of safety standards.”
Based at AXIS Aviation’s Vienna headquarters, the new team will manage flight scheduling and operations control, including planning flight paths based on performance, weather, airport conditions and airspace restrictions.
The in-house team will dedicate additional time to enhancing the sustainable impact of flights by planning routes that boost fuel efficiency.
The creation of an in-house flight dispatch team will also support AXIS in offering charter flights from Europe to the US, following the company gaining Part 129 Operations Specifications (OpSpecs) certification, issued by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), towards the end of 2023.
